Mayor Alanna Hnatiw is a highly accomplished and dedicated leader with a wealth of experience and knowledge in farming, business ownership, and the oil and gas industry. As a long-term resident of Sturgeon County, she is committed to promoting responsible, sustainable development that supports both economic growth and environmental stewardship. Mayor Hnatiw’s key priorities include promoting the diversification of agriculture and industry in Sturgeon County and actively contributing to the transition towards a hydrogen economy as Chair of the Edmonton Region Hydrogen Hub and a member of various boards and committees. Her focus on fostering a welcoming community for all residents and supporting small businesses is demonstrated through her willingness to listen and engage with community members.
