Aurora J.E. Young is Senior Innovation Engineer at Cenovus Energy Inc. She has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary (2005), and is a professional engineer as well as a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). She started her career at a technology startup designing drilling telemetry tools and progressed to managing large upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas facility projects. With more than 15 years of experience working in the oil and gas industry, she has focused on energy project development, strategy and business development. Aurora now works in Strategic Innovation, leading change by progressing small modular nuclear reactors, clean tech and other technologies. She also collaborates as a Cenovus representative with the Pathways Alliance.
