Denisse Tiznado, PhD, is a Clinical Psychologist currently an Acting Assistant Professor at the University of Washington in the Department of Family Medicine. She is also Assistant Director of Integrated Behavioral Health in the Family Medicine Residency. Denisse previously practiced as a Staff Psychologist in the VA San Diego Healthcare System and held an academic position as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California San Diego. She is passionate about using her knowledge and skills to support individuals in making value-consistent changes in themselves and their organizations. Denisse was born in San Diego, California and raised in Tijuana, Mexico, and feels truly fortunate to have had the experience of growing up in the borderland with two different countries, languages and cultures. In her spare time, she chases sunsets and enjoys eating delicious food.
