Jehangir Appoo has a background in Venture Capital, academic medicine and clinical surgery. He is the Founder Partner of AioT Health, Artificial Intelligence of Things Healthcare, a syndicate Venture Capital fund focusing on founders reimagining the boundaries of healthcare by applying technologies that have the potential to impact >10% of humanity. Jehangir also serves as Director of UCeed Health, Canada’s leading university-based Venture Philanthropy Fund. In addition to the two funds, he works with early stage founders as a CDL Associate in Calgary (Prime), Vancouver (Biomed Engineering), Toronto (Neuro), Montreal (AI) and Oxford (Health). Academically, he is an Adjunct Research Professor at the University of Calgary where he leads multi-center international clinical trials in cardiac sciences and serves on editorial boards. Clinically, Jehangir spent the better part of two decades as a cardiovascular surgeon where he helped build new programs in artificial heart surgery and aortic surgery.
