Dr. Jodi L. Abbott is President and CEO of the University Hospital Foundation (UHF), one of North America’s top healthcare foundations. Healthcare is changing, and Dr. Abbott is positioning the Foundation to be at the forefront of that change. The UHF is taking the lead in bringing together the right people from industry, academia, government and healthcare, and engaging philanthropy to tackle some of the world’s biggest healthcare challenges. Dr. Abbott is not shy about bold leadership, as evidenced through the transformation of NorQuest College where she and her team more than doubled the student population through expanded programming, and corporate and philanthropic partnerships. Through her commitment to strong communities, Dr. Abbott chaired the Edmonton Metropolitan Region Board where she played an integral role in facilitating progress on the Edmonton Metropolitan Region Growth Plan with 13 Mayors in the region. She was also the inaugural Chair of Edmonton’s Health City, leading the creation of a 10-year economic development strategy across the health ecosystem. Dr. Abbott volunteers her time as a World and Olympic figure skating judge.
