John Adams is President and CEO of NGIF Capital and Managing Partner of NGIF Cleantech Ventures. At NGIF Capital, John focuses on long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies. He is accountable for the fiscal integrity of the organization and is responsible for a team in offices across Canada, reporting to a Board of Directors and Investment Committees. At Cleantech Ventures, John is responsible for the strategic direction and investments from the fund, manages the day-to-day activities of the fund operations, maintains positive relationships with the Limited Partners, and overseas multiple funds with different investment strategies. John has been a part of numerous selection juries for organizations including the International Gas Union’s Research, Development and Innovation Committee, NRCan, and ERAlberta. He has been honoured with distinctions including a 2021 World Biz Magazine’s Global Top 100 Innovation CEO and Canada’s Clean50 2022.
