Chief Mental Health Officer
, TELUS HealthDr. Matthew Chow has spent his career helping and leading others. He served as President of Doctors of British Columbia in 2020-21, oversaw more than $3B in annual public healthcare spending as a member of the Medical Services Commission of BC, and co-chaired BC’s Specialist Services Committee to improve medical, surgical, diagnostic and mental health services in partnership with doctors and government. As Chief Mental Health Officer at TELUS Health, Dr. Chow contributes to mental health strategy, oversees multidisciplinary mental health teams and ensures that clients receive high-quality evidence-based care. He leverages his experience to comment on healthcare reform, mental health care and digitalization— all vital in an era marked by mental health challenges, pressure on healthcare systems and rapid technological change.
