Stan Blade is the Dean of the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences. He is focused on leading the Faculty to train amazing students and create high-impact research and innovation. Stan serves on several agrifood boards and advisory groups addressing food security, economic opportunity and system resilience. Stan has worked and travelled in 100+ countries – always observing and learning! Stan is an International Fellow of the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry, and a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal.
