Future Innovators Welcome at Inventures
Alberta Innovates wants to inspire Alberta’s next generation of creators, inventors, and entrepreneurs by welcoming hundreds of high school students to Inventures 2024 as the first cohort of Future Innovators!
Grade 10 students from across Alberta are invited to apply for this program. If accepted, students will receive a free pass to Day 3 of Inventures with content tailored to them, as well as the opportunity to join the final keynote presentation and closing ceremonies.
Why Grade 10? We want to expose young students to the countless opportunities available in Alberta to help them plan for post-secondary and their own future while they’re still discovering what’s possible.
Inventures takes place at the Telus Conference Centre in downtown Calgary and for students outside of Calgary, free bus transportation is being arranged at regional hubs for the day before, along with overnight accommodation at the University of Calgary dorms. There are no costs to apply to the program and students will only have to cover meal expenses if traveling to Calgary and any additional spending they may wish to do while on-site.
This is the first year for the Future Innovators program and reflects the values of Alberta Innovates to foster curiosity, creativity, collaboration and more. Teachers and parents can find additional information on how to apply for the program at www.inventurescanada.com.
