When and where is Inventures?

Inventures takes place May 21-23, 2025, at the BMO Centre at Stampede Park in Calgary, Alberta.

How can I register for Inventures?

What topics will be covered during the event?

Inventures features various content tracks focusing on emerging technologies such as food tech, clean tech, AI, quantum computing, healthcare data, and entrepreneurship.

Will there be networking opportunities?

Yes, the event is designed to facilitate networking among attendees, including entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts.

How do I know who’s attending and who I can make a meeting?

Where do I find an event map?

Check out the ‘Floor Plan’ pages in our app! If you’re lost, just look for an Inventures volunteer to help you get to where you want to go.

Will there be printed schedules?

As we look to reduce our impact on the environment, we have opted for paperless schedules that you can access the schedule on our website or through the app. Check out the “sessions” section of the app or the website to get an overview of the schedule.

How can I access Inventures After Dark?

Your Inventures event pass will get you into certain events while other exclusive events are only available for Elevated or Investor pass holders. Additionally, some events are invite only or by registering through the Showpass link on the events page.

Will there be podcasts live during Inventures? If so, how can get interviewed?

Inventures will be bringing in Artificial Breakdown, AI Podcast for this year’s conference. Interviews and timeslot will be available but direct outreach from both the Inventures and Artificial Breakdown teams.

Will there be food & beverage at Inventures?

Yes, your Inventure pass includes lunch on Wednesday & Thursday and coffee & snacks throughout the duration of the conference. Breakfast is not included. Food & Beverage will be available throughout Level 2 and Level 3 of the BMO Centre at Stampede Park.

Who do I tell if I have a dietary restriction?

Dietary restrictions were captured as part of your event registration.

How can I download the Inventures Event Guide?

Our Inventures Event Guide will be available for all attendees in both App Stores. Simply download the App to your mobile device and login in using your ticket purchase credentials. Once you’ve downloaded the app, you will be able to build your own schedule, view all sessions, and connect with other Inventures attendees.

When do I need to download the Inventures Event Guide?

Our App will be available for download before and during the Inventures 2025 conference. We recommend downloading the app in advance to ensure that you have the most up to date conference information and can plan your experience. If you’re logging into the app for the first time you may be prompted to use your ticket registration code.

What is the mandatory orientation, and why is it necessary?

The mandatory orientation, scheduled for Tuesday May 20, 2025, is essential for all Inventures volunteers. It serves as an introduction to the program, and attendance is required to receive your volunteer badge. We are at a new venue this year and this orientation will include a tour around the new facility

What happens during the volunteer orientation, and will there be refreshments?

The volunteer orientation provides important information about the Inventures program and your role as a volunteer. Snacks will be provided during the orientation, ensuring an informative and enjoyable session.

How many shifts do I need to commit to?

Each volunteer must commit to at least 6 hours over the three-day conference. Shifts typically range between 1 to 6 hours.

Can I work more than six hours at Inventures?

Absolutely! You can sign up for as many shifts as you like as long as they don’t overlap.

Can I select my own schedule?

Yes, you will receive a link to select your preferred roles and schedule. We’ve had a high volume of interest, so don’t forget that shifts will be filled on a first come first served basis. We recommend you apply as early as you can. Once you receive the shift sign up link, if your first choices aren’t available, keep in mind that every shift is vital to the success of Inventures 2025, and we appreciate your willingness to take on other roles.

Can I choose the shifts that I want to volunteer for?

Yes, you can choose shifts that best fit your schedule. We’ll provide flexibility to accommodate your availability.

What are the perks of being an Inventures volunteer ambassador?

All Inventures volunteers will receive a range of benefits, including:

  • Full Pass Registration
  • Lunch
  • A volunteer-exclusive T-shirt
  • A personalized letter of hours worked
  • Exclusive access to some of the hottest tech innovators in the industry

What does the registration include?

The registration provides full pass access to all program events. It’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in the experience and make the most out of the event.

Will I receive any recognition for my volunteer work?

Absolutely! Each volunteer can receive a personalized letter of hours worked, acknowledging your valuable contribution to the 2025 program.

What is the attire for volunteers?

Volunteers will be provided with a T-shirt to wear during their shifts. Comfortable bottoms and closed-toe shoes are recommended.

I need medical assistance, who do I contact?

Security Services personnel are the designated first responders in a coordinated procedure with the City’s Emergency Services. First responders are trained and certified in First Aid Level C – CPR/AED.

I need security assistance, who do I contact?

The CTCC’s Security Services department is the primary responder to all building incidents and emergencies. Providing 24/7 response, the Security Services office is located on the main floor of the North building (136 8th Avenue SE). Security Services Agents can be seen wearing midnight navy blue uniforms, with “SECURITY” badging displayed.
