The Challenge
Innovate, Impact, Inspire
The Global Health Challenge invites small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to push the boundaries of technology, creating impactful, accessible, and scalable solutions to address critical conditions affecting brain health. Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, depression, anxiety, and traumatic brain injuries are some that affect millions worldwide.
How might we transform brain health and address early cognitive impairment and degenerative brain diseases through innovative solutions?

PRIZES FOR INNOVATORS
Prizes will be awarded to the teams behind the most innovative solution, as well as the People’s Choice winner. Pitching teams will have an opportunity to make an ask for additional supports such as mentorship, partnerships, funding, and user engagement.

Shortlisted applicants selected to pitch will receive Inventures 2025 tickets, granting them access to one of the leading innovation conferences.
Global Exposure
Share your innovation with a global audience of 4000+ industry leaders, investors, and innovators, increasing your visibility and impact.
Pitch Support
All SMEs invited to pitch will receive benefits such as airfare (up to a specified amount), accommodation, and access to exclusive Inventures events.
The Details
Participants interested in the Global Health Challenge are invited to submit their application for consideration. Each application will be reviewed by the Alberta Innovates Health team to ensure it meets the challenge requirements.

eligibility
The Global Health Challenge is open to global SMEs with potential to impact the health and well-being of Albertans and beyond. Technologies must be at technology readiness level 5.
