Master Mentor Program FAQs

Who are the Mentors?

We have a network of qualified Mentors with diverse experiences and skillsets who have signed up to share their expertise, insights, and experiences with companies attending Inventures. These Mentors are highly experienced in their respective fields and have worked with businesses at various stages of growth.

Who can apply?

All startups and scale-ups are invited to apply but must have a confirmed registration number for Inventures 2024.

Where and when?

Master Mentors runs during the Inventures conference and is held at the Marriott Hotel Downtown next to the Calgary TELUS Convention Center.  All registrants will receive a confirmation email with directions, meeting time and, of course, their Mentor.

Do I need a business plan?

All applications should have supporting documents to share with the assigned Mentor prior to the conference. This should include a current business plan and/or a detailed pitch deck. If you are an early-stage startup, a business model canvas or lean canvas would be helpful as well

Once I register what happens next?

Based on the information you provided at sign-up, you will be presented with a list of best-matched Mentors to select from. Once you select your preferred Mentor, the Mentor will then be prompted to accept the match. Once accepted, you will be contacted by the organizers with your scheduled meeting time and Mentor.

Please note that we will do our best to match you with your Mentor selection, but we cannot guarantee your first choice. Scheduling will be done on a first-come, first-served basis, the Mentor needs to accept the match, and each Mentor has limited spots.

What if I don’t get a match with a Mentor?

We cannot guarantee all companies will receive a scheduled connection due to limitations of spots during Inventures.

Don’t miss your chance to be matched with an experienced advisor.
